A thriving hub for high-tech growth and innovation
Exyte is active in Denmark’s data center industry, delivering high-end facilities in a country known for its commitment to green energy, world-class digital infrastructure, and a favorable climate. These strengths have attracted hyperscalers and international tech giants to Denmark. The data center market in the country was valued at close to 2 billion euro in 2023 and is expected to surpass 2.5 billion euro by 2029.
Denmark is also emerging as a strategic center for high-tech industries. Its thriving biopharma and life sciences sector is home to over 1,600 companies that employ more than 60,000 people and account for nearly a fifth of Denmark’s exports. A national strategy aims to double these exports by 2030, and Exyte is contributing to this growth as a contractor for new biopharma facilities in the Zealand region.
Fueled by Denmark’s renewable energy leadership with wind power now providing around 60 percent of its electricity, the battery sector is accelerating and projected to grow from 770 million euro in 2025 to 1.2 billion in 2030, as the country invests in energy storage and electric vehicle adaption and technology.
Denmark’s semiconductor capabilities are also expanding; the country opened its first 300mm wafer facility in 2025, underscoring a growing role in Europe’s chip ecosystem. Positioned at the crossroads of Scandinavia, mainland Europe, and the economic zones of the Baltic Sea and the North Sea, Denmark offers a dynamic, innovation-driven environment for future-focused industries.
