Niall McCaffrey is the new Vice President of Corporate Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS)
Niall McCaffrey, a EHS Project Manager for Exyte in Northern Europe, is taking over from Jonathan Eades who has resigned from Exyte to pursue new opportunities. Niall will begin his new role on September 1, 2023, and will be based in Ireland, reporting to Exyte CEO Dr. Wolfgang Büchele.
With more than 30 years of experience, Niall has spent the last two years working for Exyte as the Head of EHS for a semiconductor project in Ireland. Here, he was responsible for leading the EHS function of the construction, commissioning, qualification, and handover of the project’s base build. Within Exyte, Niall has successfully fostered EHS culture, developed a strategic risk program, managed project stakeholders, and drove continual EHS management improvements in line with lean principles. He has also led the project’s sustainability and environmental management program.
Niall holds a wealth of experience in EHS Management, serving as both a senior EHS leader, and global EHS director, prior to joining Exyte. With a Bachelor of Civil Engineering and a Master of Science, Niall has a key understanding of the expertise, processes, and actions required to successfully realize large scale projects.
“Since joining Exyte, I have been impressed with the dedication to excellence,” says Niall. “I am excited to take this next step and continue to develop and improve strategies and processes. My experience aligns with the company’s vision and the value of ‘we live safety first’, and I am looking forward to collaborating across the organization to create positive impacts and embrace the opportunities that lie ahead.”
Büchele says, “I am pleased to welcome Niall into this role. This is a great opportunity to nurture existing talent within Exyte and make use of the skills and expertise the company has to offer. Under Niall’s guidance and expertise, I am confident that Exyte will continue to maintain the highest standards of EHS.”
He adds, “I would like to thank Jonathan for his successes and great dedication at Exyte. With great commitment and passion for the cause, he drove the incident-free workplace program forward. The EHS results, which are on a high level in many areas, are also the result of Jonathan's commitment and prudent leadership. He has been integral to creating the safety culture at Exyte. I wish him success for his future endeavor.”
