As Senior Manager of Mechanical Design for Exyte’s Global Business Unit Biopharma and Life Sciences, Carlton Ware oversees a team in the US state of North Carolina dedicated to designing and building facilities that enable the production of life-saving medicines. From clean rooms to complex piping systems, Ware and his team play a crucial role in shaping the future of biotechnology. In this article he talks about how he ensures excellence for his team and Exyte.
“Our work ensures smooth operations.”
When it comes to his job, Ware’s focus is on creating the infrastructure for medicines and clean room facilities for Exyte’s projects. A key part of this is the facility’s piping, which is an important aspect in the facilities Exyte builds as it ensures the safe, efficient, and contamination-free transport of critical utilities, such as purified water, steam, and process fluids, required for production. “Whether it’s connecting systems from point A to B or branching off to serve multiple destinations, our work ensures smooth operations,” says Ware. He also highlights the intricate components within piping systems, such as valves, pumps, and regulators, which manage fluid flow and functionality. “It’s a critical piece of the puzzle in these high-tech facilities,” he says.
“There’s so much diversity and opportunity.”
According to Ware, building a successful team is about two things: Combining technical expertise with a strong culture. “You can gather brilliant technical minds, but if they can’t work together, it’s pointless,” he emphasizes. “A great team is one that can give, take, and align with the mission we’re working to achieve together.” This is why Exyte’s global reach and diversity are key factors that make it stand out for Ware. “I love that there’s so much diversity and opportunity here,” he shares. “The company ventures into markets worldwide.”
With Exyte’s Global Business Unit Biopharma and Life Sciences growing in the US, Ware is ensuring his team is contributing to major projects that advance the future of biotechnology. “We’re focusing on expanding and bringing technology to life,” he says.
